Royal Kona Resort

This hotel provides you with what you need to have a good stay in Kailua-Kona: a number of choices for clean and comfortable rooms, a good price for ocean-view rooms, and a good amount of amenities. But a word to the wise: pass on the older Bay Towers and request a Lagoon Tower. It is the better choice of the two as it is newer and offers more breathtaking views. It is a two-minute walk to restaurants and shopping, has a private lagoon, pool, and restaurant, and the hotel staff is very accommodating. The resort also offers senior citizens, newlyweds, and those celebrating their anniversary the choice to upgrade to a better room for free. While this isn't the most luxurious hotel in the area, Peaceful and quiet nights and friendly service abound at this location.

The Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa sits on an ancient lava flow at the southern entrance to Keauhou Bay and is a very clean hotel in a quiet area, and perfect for stress-free relaxation.
